There’s a stray cat in my neighborhood named Fifi, who is in need of help.
She used to live in France with her owners, but then they moved here (Corfu, Greece) and brought her with them. For some reason one day they decided to leave and left this beautiful white cat alone.
A man living in the village took over the responsibility of feeding her, and even took her to the Vet to have her ears cut off when she developed ear cancer. A few years after this, the man moved out from the village, and left Fifi on the street again.
I had seen her walking around the village, and since I feed the 8-9 stay cats there, she started coming to eat some food and sleep in the little cardboard boxes I have outside my front door , in order to provide the kitties some shelter during the winter.
One day when Fifi came to eat I noticed there was something wrong. When I went close I noticed this huge gash on her ear which was bleeding heavily. Seems like a male cat might have attacked her, ripping all of the skin in the area right off, since this happened around mating season. I immediately called the only local animal shelter, asking if they could take her there and take care of her. They said that the only thing they could do is provide free medical treatment, as long as I took her back to the village and continued to support her, terms to which I gladly agreed to.
